Popular music magazine started in November 1998. After 84 printed editions since January 2007 Efe Eme was distributed for free as downloadable pdf. This experiment lasted only four months with editions 85-88. From June 2007 the contents was distributed as a common website. From September 2014, the magazine began to appear again on paper as a quarterly publication called Cuadermos Efe Eme. The numbering started from 1.
