Bass Guitar was a UK magazine, founded in 1993. In
2018, Future Publishing acquired Bass Guitar and the
American magazine Bass Player. Both magazines were
published in parallel under their own names with the same content,
starting with Bass Guitar issue #161 October 2018.
Bass Guitar's last issue under its own name was #185
in September 2020. Bass Guitar was then renamed to
Bass Player UK. Bass Player continued to be
published until October 2022.
In 2012 I had the pleasure of attending Dweezil Zappa’s brainchild Dweezilla, a music camp dedicated to honouring the compositions of his late father, Frank Zappa. For readers not familiar with Dweezil, or with Frank’s extensive body of work, pay close attention to what I am going to share with you today.
