Jazz — monthly magazine, the first magazine devoted to jazz behind the iron curtain. It was started in 1956 in Gdańsk (Poland). In the 60s it was supplemented with Jazz Rytm i Piosenka with content related to pop and rock music. It the early 80s, due to the decreasing popularity if jazz, the magazine's name was changed to Magazyn Muzyczny Jazz and then to Magazyn Muzyczny. (Andrzej Rogowski)
